MPlayer OSX Extended is the best player for my mac, which can play movie of almost all codecs and is the only player that can render non-unicode ASS/SSA correctly. The only defect that I have found is that it uses too much CPU while playing 1080p movie comparing Plex which supports hardware decoding. That would be your best chance. If there isn't, Install a Virtual Box in your Mac System. Windows XP would be the best choice.
